Happy Wheels has arrived just as the devastating and blasphemous end of Flash approaches—a development that kept us all on the edge of our seats. We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may have caused. We hope the anxiety over losing Happy Wheels hasn’t disturbed your sleep. If you weren’t aware that the game was in development, here’s some exciting news: this marks the first official public release. Please bear with us as we work to fix any remaining bugs.
Although I personally still prefer the Flash version, I appreciate this new iteration because it runs exceptionally well on mobile devices. Currently, this version does not include on-screen mobile controls, but they will be added in the upcoming update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone immediately, a Bluetooth keyboard works very well.
While I initially stated that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels can experience noticeable slowdown at that rate. Fortunately, you can adjust this in the settings. There’s also the possibility of hosting a dedicated 60Hz version for users with high-performance CPUs.
The rest of the game, Happy Wheels JS, aims to faithfully replicate the original in both design and gameplay. The database of users, levels, and replays remains unchanged since the initial launch. The only thing that’s truly gone is the universe’s impending doom.
